The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Zamfara State chairman Hon. Kabiru Garba Gusau has clarified the identity of the party’s gubernatorial candidate in Zamfara, emphasizing that the ADC is united and ready for the 2027 general elections in the state.
In a press briefing held on Thursday at the Zamfara State ADC Secretariat in Gusau, Hon. Kabiru Garba Gusau disclosed that the ADC structure in Zamfara remains committed to the party constitution and rule of law.
“I am addressing you today on behalf of the leadership, members, candidates, and supporters of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Zamfara State Chapter, at a very important moment in the political development of our party and our state.
“We have called this briefing because there are several issues surrounding the ADC that require clear, responsible, and authoritative clarification.
“We believe the people of Zamfara deserve to hear directly from the legitimate leadership of the party rather than relying on rumors, propaganda, social media speculation, or statements from individuals who do not speak for the ADC in the state.
“Our position is simple: we respect the courts, we respect the law, and we will continue to defend the legitimate structure of the ADC through lawful and constitutional means.
“For the avoidance of doubt, I want to make our position absolutely clear.
However, Hon. Ibrahim Salisu Mafara is the ADC gubernatorial candidate for Zamfara State.
“Let me also emphasize that ADC Zamfara is prepared to defend the mandate of its candidates through every legitimate legal and constitutional avenue available.
“ADC is united and ready for 2027 despite the challenges. Let me make this clear: ADC Zamfara is not dead, ADC Zamfara is not divided beyond reconciliation, and ADC Zamfara is not abandoning its political mission.” He emphasized.
