Governor Uba Sani has urged public office holders from Kaduna State to work towards President Bola Tinubu’s re-election by mobilising support ahead of the presidential campaign flag-off on 24 October.

The governor made this known at a high-level strategic meeting, where he also charged political appointees at both state and federal levels to strengthen the coordination of political activities to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming elections.

Uba Sani said President Tinubu had demonstrated an unprecedented commitment to Kaduna State through transformative investments in infrastructure, education and economic development.

“Such extraordinary commitment deserves more than expressions of gratitude; it demands collective responsibility to consolidate these gains and sustain the momentum of development.”

“We must translate our appreciation into decisive political action. I charge every federal appointee and stakeholder to close ranks, deepen grassroots engagement and work towards delivering a resounding landslide victory for President Tinubu in 2027,” the governor stated.

Uba Sani cited the Kaduna Light Rail, Abuja–Kaduna–Kano Highway, Kaduna–Birnin Gwari Road, Kaduna–Kano Rail Project and investments in federal tertiary institutions as evidence of the President’s commitment to the development of Kaduna State.

He emphasised that sustained collaboration between federal appointees and the state government was critical to translating these investments into lasting economic opportunities, improved security and better living conditions for residents.

The high-level strategic meeting was attended by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Tajudeen Abbas; the Minister of Environment, Malam Balarabe Abbas Lawal; the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Malam Shehu Dikko; chairmen and members of federal boards; heads of parastatals; federal commissioners; and other key stakeholders.

The meeting resolved to work closely with the APC leadership and key stakeholders to consolidate and coordinate political structures across the state’s 23 local government areas.

The participants expressed profound appreciation to President Tinubu for choosing Kaduna to host the flag-off of his re-election campaign, his administration’s significant infrastructure investments and the appointment of Kaduna indigenes to strategic federal positions.

The political appointees described the President’s decision to host the campaign flag-off in Kaduna as recognition of the state’s strategic political importance and reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring a successful event.

They also resolved to strengthen stakeholder coordination before, during and after the elections, with an emphasis on peaceful participation, effective engagement and post-election reconciliation.

The public office holders pledged to serve as worthy ambassadors of Kaduna State, leveraging their respective positions to support the policies and programmes of President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani and ensure that the dividends of democracy reached communities across the state.

They renewed their commitment to political unity, stronger federal-state collaboration and sustained support for the Renewed Hope Agenda and Kaduna State’s development priorities.
