Indications have emerged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State may employ consensus arrangements to produce its candidates for the 2027 general election.
Speaking during the visit of the aspirant for the House of Representatives seat for the OkeEro/Isin/Ifelodun federal constituency, Mrs. Florence Oyeyemi, in Ilorin on Wednesday, the state chairman of the party, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, said the party would streamline the number of aspirants for various political positions to have a united family.
Prince Fagbemi, who described the APC as a single family, said the party would be fair to all concerned during the process, irrespective of age, gender or religion.
The APC chairman advised the aspirant to have continuous personal engagements with members of the constituency in order to sell herself to the people.
Earlier, Mrs Oyeyemi said that the impressive performance of the APC government at both the state and national levels informed her decision to aspire for the position.
