The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the August 15 election in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, has promised to run an inclusive administration that will ensure equitable development across all parts of the state if elected.
Speaking during campaign rallies at Ibokun and Ijebu-Jesa on Friday, Oyebamiji assured residents that his government would distribute development projects fairly, saying no local government area would be marginalised.
He maintained that every community that contributes to his electoral victory would benefit from government programmes without discrimination.
The APC candidate also promised to address what he described as the poor condition of public infrastructure in many communities, particularly schools, primary healthcare centres and roads.
According to him, his administration would rehabilitate dilapidated educational and health facilities while recruiting qualified teachers and healthcare workers to improve service delivery across the state.
Oyebamiji said his government would prioritise quality education and accessible healthcare as part of broader efforts to improve the welfare of residents and stimulate development.
He urged the electorate to support his candidacy at the forthcoming governorship election, expressing optimism that the APC would emerge victorious.
The party flag bearer further pledged to transform the state’s economy through large-scale mechanised agriculture if elected governor, saying agriculture remains Osun State’s greatest economic strength, and stressing that his administration would introduce mechanised farming across agrarian communities to boost food production, create employment opportunities and improve the livelihoods of rural residents.
He stressed that the policy would not only increase agricultural productivity but also encourage more young people to embrace farming by making the sector more attractive and profitable.
The APC candidate further promised to complement the agricultural initiative with massive investment in rural infrastructure, particularly the construction and rehabilitation of roads linking farming communities to major markets.
“We will encourage mechanised farming in all agrarian communities to make farming easier, more attractive and more productive. We will also ensure that farmers have access to good roads to transport their produce to the markets,” he said.
Oyebamiji expressed confidence in securing victory at the August 15 poll, urging residents of the constituency to support his ambition to enable him to implement his development agenda.
As part of his campaign activities in Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, Oyebamiji also visited the Ogboni of Ibokun, Oba Festus Adegboro, the Egboro of Ijebu-Jesa, Oba Moses Agunsoye, and other traditional rulers, who offered prayers for the success of his governorship ambition.
