The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, has described the ongoing governorship election in the state as peaceful.
Oyebamiji stated this while speaking with journalists shortly after casting his vote on Saturday.
According to him, security operatives deployed for the election have been doing a commendable job, expressing optimism that the exercise would continue peacefully.
“So far, everything is going well. Everything is peaceful. My assessment is that security operatives have done a marvelous job, and I want to believe that things will look up,” Oyebamiji said.
When asked about the reported arrest of a local man allegedly found with some machines, the APC candidate said he had no assessment of the incident.
“I don’t have any assessment of that, but I think the security operatives are equal to the job,” he added.
