The National Reconciliation and Peace Committee (NRPC) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has scheduled a series of zonal meetings across the six geopolitical zones of the country as part of its ongoing peace and conflict resolution initiatives.
According to an official public notice issued from the committee’s national office at No 121, Ademola Adetokunbo Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja, and signed by its Secretary, Peters Iyiola Oyewole Esq., the meetings are designed to provide a platform for aggrieved party members to resolve internal disputes amicably.
The committee stated that all party members who have previously submitted petitions are expected to attend the respective zonal meetings to deliberate on their grievances and explore peaceful settlements.
The schedule for the zonal meetings is as follows: North Central Zone, Abuja — September 22–23, 2026; North West Zone, Kano — September 26–27, 2026; South West Zone, Lagos — October 6–7, 2026; South South Zone, Port Harcourt — October 9–10, 2026; South East Zone, Owerri — October 12–13, 2026; and North East Zone, Yola — October 19–20, 2026.
The committee further directed party members in each zone to liaise directly with their respective National Vice Chairmen, State Chairmen, and local party leadership to confirm specific venues and meeting times.
Meanwhile, the National Reconciliation and Peace Committee (NRPC) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on all party members to submit memoranda addressing any grievances, complaints, disputes, concerns, or petitions regarding party affairs.
In a notice signed by the committee’s secretary, Peters Iyiola Oyewole Esq., members submitting memoranda are encouraged to include practical suggestions and recommendations to resolve issues in the interest of justice, fairness, reconciliation, and peace.
According to submission guidelines and content requirements, submissions must clearly state the facts of the matter, the parties involved (where applicable), and proposed solutions to assist the committee in reaching a fair resolution.
Memoranda must not exceed 10 pages, while eleven (11) copies of the memoranda and accompanying suggestions must be submitted within seven days from the date of the notice.
Additionally, members who submit memoranda are expected to make themselves available to present them personally and speak on the issues raised during upcoming zonal meetings, with dates, times, and venues to be announced soon.
The committee urged all members to utilise this opportunity to actively participate in the reconciliation and peace process.
The committee was inaugurated on September 2, 2026, at the party’s national secretariat by the ADC National Chairman, Senator David Mark.
Its core mandate is to identify, review, and amicably resolve grievances among members while fostering peace, understanding, and cohesion at all levels of the party.
