THE APC-GEN Grassroots Engagement and Mobilisation Initiative in Epe Division, Lagos State, recently brought together party members, leaders, candidates and supporters to strengthen unity and grassroots participation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The event, which drew stakeholders from across Epe Division, is focused on fostering cohesion within the All Progressives Congress (APC) and building a coordinated grassroots structure to drive massive support for the party.
The Convener, Olufowobi Desmond, explained that the initiative was designed to identify community challenges, engage residents directly, and build an effective grassroots mobilisation network.
He disclosed that the initiative has set a target to mobilise 200,000 people across the division ahead of the 2027 polls.
According to him, the programme marks a shift from traditional campaign rallies to direct engagement at the local government, ward and polling-unit levels, where voters and community leaders can be identified and community concerns addressed.
“This initiative is about taking politics to the grassroots, listening to the people and ensuring that every polling unit is covered. We want to build a structure that connects directly with voters and addresses their needs,” Desmond said.
Organisers reaffirmed the need for stronger youth participation and party unity, urging stakeholders to work together and mobilise support for APC candidates across all levels in 2027.
