The Obi-Kwankwaso (OK) Movement has inaugurated its Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections, charging members to take the movement’s message and political agenda to Nigerians across the country.

The National Leadership of the movement, in a congratulatory message signed by its National Secretary, Saadatu Sani, described the appointment of members of the council as a call to duty, sacrifice, leadership and service to Nigeria.

The movement said the council had been entrusted with the responsibility of taking the vision and aspirations of its principals directly to Nigerians, from urban centres to grassroots communities and across the states, local government areas and wards of the federation.

“The OK Movement is not built around individuals seeking personal recognition. It is a movement driven by a larger national vision: to mobilise Nigerians around the possibility of a better, more prosperous, united and functional Nigeria,” the statement said.

It urged members of the campaign council to approach their responsibilities with discipline, loyalty, humility, courage and commitment to the movement’s stated objectives.

According to the statement, the campaign would require strategic thinking, grassroots mobilisation, effective communication and cooperation among members.

“Our responsibility is to ensure that the message of our principals reaches every Nigerian and that the voice of the people is heard across the length and breadth of our nation,” it added.

John Ughulu was named Director-General of the campaign, while Sani will serve as National Secretary.

The council also named coordinators for the six geopolitical zones and the Federal Capital Territory, alongside state coordinators across the country.

For the North Central, Suleiman Abubakar was appointed coordinator, with Maiyaki Samson for Kogi, Tokji J. Mandim for Plateau, Yusuf Abdullahi for Nasarawa, Aliyu Tershaku for Benue, Awal Goma for Niger, and Kazeem Olawuyi for Kwara.

Hashimu Dungurawa was listed as North West coordinator, with state coordinators for Kaduna, Sokoto, Kano, Zamfara, Jigawa, Kebbi and Katsina.

Amadu Gwambe was named North East coordinator, while Adamawa, Gombe, Taraba, Bauchi, Yobe and Borno were assigned respective state coordinators.

In the South West, Dr Adebayo Adefolaseye was appointed coordinator, with coordinators also named for Osun, Oyo, Ekiti, Ogun, Lagos and Ondo.

Christopher Ighodaro will coordinate the South South, with representatives appointed for Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Delta, Bayelsa and Rivers states.

For the South East, El-shaddai Ikeh was named coordinator, with Chukwudi Onyejekwe for Anambra, Nwanebu Christian Onyinyechi for Imo, Roland Edeh for Ebonyi, Victor Onyia for Enugu and Prof. Zulu Ofoelue for Abia.

The campaign council also includes directors responsible for specific areas, including grassroots mobilisation, women affairs, contact and engagement, mobilisation, special duties, procurement, information technology, legal affairs, strategy and planning, security and intelligence, and administration.

Other appointees include Rev. Mike Agbon as Director, Inter Ethics Group in Northern Nigeria; Sabo Gashua as Director, Grassroots Mobilisation; Glory Adayi as Director of Women Affairs; Kabir Yahaya as Director, Contact and Engagement; and Abdumumini Tijjani as Director of Mobilisation.

The council also named Sunmisola Adebayo as Director of Information Technology, Kingdom Okere as Director of Legal Affairs, Abiodun Dabiri as Director of Strategy and Planning, Richard Enemona, CSP (Rtd), as Director of Security and Intelligence, and Aisha Abdulrahaman as Director of Administration.

The movement called on all members of the council to work collectively and demonstrate its readiness and organisation ahead of the political activities leading to the 2027 elections. “The journey has begun. The assignment is clear. The mission is Nigeria,” the statement added.
