No fewer than 20 political parties have signed an agreement with the Zamfara State Directorate of Political Matters on peaceful and mature campaign activities ahead of the 2027 elections in the state.

This was disclosed by the Zamfara State Special Adviser on Political Matters, Hon. Nura Abdullahi Tsafe, while speaking with newsmen after a meeting with 100 screened political groups in the state.

He said a mobilisation workshop was recently organised for the 100 political groups, aimed at sensitising them on the development achieved by the present administration of Governor Dauda Lawal in the state.

According to him, the workshop was also centred on peaceful and mature campaigns, free from thuggery in the state.

“I held a meeting with 20 registered political parties where we all signed and agreed on peaceful campaigns, mature and free from political thuggery. This has shown that we have a common mindset,” he stated.

He further revealed that some political parties had shown interest in aligning with the APC in the state as a result of the developmental projects executed by Governor Dauda Lawal’s administration and witnessed across the state.

“The present administration of Governor Dauda Lawal has broken the jinx in his three years in office. The state has witnessed tremendous transformation. This would make APC succeed from top to bottom in the 2027 general elections, God willing,” he reaffirmed.
