THE Association of Igede Kaha Indigenes of Benue State in South-West Nigeria has endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term in office and Senator Sarafadeen Alli as its preferred candidate for the Oyo State governorship election.
The association declared its support in a statement signed by its Youth Coordinator, Kola Omotosho; HRH Dr Reuben Ogbugo, Ada Igede Kaha Worldwide and Ojikpuru I of Igede in the South-West; Engineer Catechist Agi Elias Awugo, National President; and Dr Benjamin Aogo, Coordinator.
The group said its endorsement was informed by its confidence in the leadership capacity, experience and ability of the two politicians to provide purposeful leadership and promote development at the national and state levels.
Speaking on the endorsement, Omotosho described Tinubu as an experienced leader whose knowledge of governance and public administration would be valuable in steering the affairs of the country for another four years.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has acquired considerable experience in governance and nation-building over the years. We believe that his experience and understanding of the country’s challenges place him in a position to continue leading Nigeria and consolidate on his administration’s policies and programmes,” he said.
He added that the association believed continuity in leadership would provide an opportunity for ongoing policies and development initiatives to be strengthened for the benefit of Nigerians.
On the Oyo State governorship race, the association expressed confidence in Senator Sarafadeen Alli, describing him as a capable candidate with the experience and political understanding required to lead the state.
“We believe Senator Sarafadeen Alli has the capacity and experience to provide purposeful leadership for Oyo State. His aspiration represents an opportunity to advance development, strengthen governance and promote the welfare of the people,” Omotosho said.
