A new political coordination and campaign centre designed to serve the five local government areas that make up the Lagos Central Senatorial District is set for commissioning on Monday in Lagos Island.
Known as the PBAT KOH Lagos Central Campaign Headquarters, the edifice is being established as a central coordination point for political activities covering Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Surulere, Apapa and Eti-Osa.
The project had Engr. Tayo Bamgbose-Martins serving as the principal financier and facilitator, while Mr Bolaji Yusuf is the Administrator and Coordinator of the centre.
The headquarters is expected to provide an organised environment for meetings, strategy sessions, political planning, coordination and other campaign-related activities across the senatorial district.
Speaking on the project, Bamgbose-Martins said the idea behind the headquarters was to provide a functional and identifiable centre for coordinating political activities within Lagos Central.
He said the completion of the project demonstrated a commitment to providing the infrastructure required for effective political organisation and engagement.
The administrator and coordinator of the centre, Yusuf, said the headquarters was conceived to bring the different components of the political structure within Lagos Central closer together.
The commissioning is expected to be attended by the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, who will formally commission the edifice.
The Deputy Governor and governorship candidate, as well as APC candidates contesting various elective positions in Lagos Central, are also expected to attend the event.
